Hollybeck Nurseries was founded by Richard Cartwright as a bulb importer & market trader in the early 60's. Originally a Lincolnshire man, his contacts with farmers & growers in the region developed into a successful business supplying local markets & wholesalers with quality plant & flower produce. Many of whom we still use today on a regular basis.
Richard & his wife Roslyn purchased the existing site 28 years ago and concentrated their efforts on marketing & wholesale of plants & flowers. Until 1999 when a change of direction was proposed. This was developed under the direction of Roslyn Cartwright into developing the Retail Site for plant sales only, which has continued to grow steadily over the past few years. With the addition of terracotta pot & compost sales in recent years.
Today the nursery is managed by their daughter & son-in law, Trudy & Chris with plenty of guidance from Richard & Roslyn in the day to day running of the site. However the quality of the plants is still closely monitored by Richard Cartwright as can only be expected in a Family run Company.
